Independently owned and operated by Leonard & Debra Schroeder since 1988, Bloomers Home and Garden Center is the premier source for all your home, patio, garden and landscape needs. Covering over 3 acres, Bloomers is a perpetually changing destination, not just a single department! Bloomers Home and Garden Center has won numerous local and national retail awards for their individualized customer service and superior product selection. Dedicated to the “do-it-yourselfer”, Bloomers has been voted “Best Garden Center” for several years in a row by our local and regional residents. Bloomers success is hinged to insuring every customer achieves their goals.
The Schroeder family has their “roots” in horticulture dating back to the depression era when Leonard’s grandmother began selling fresh fruits and vegetables grown on their farm to the local residents for an affordable price. Leonard’s parents carried on that tradition and expanded in to lawn, garden, and landscape supplies. The original family farm is still owned and operated by Leonard’s family. The Schroeder sense of pride and quality has passed through the generations and is still evident today at Bloomers Home and Garden Center.
Bloomers is located in beautiful Washington Township of Gloucester County New Jersey, just 20 minutes south of Philadelphia. You’ll find the best quality products and materials explained by trained knowledgeable staff who will assist you based on your experience level. We don’t want anyone to be intimidated when starting out and welcome everyone wanting a green thumb.

Plant Rx– Bloomers has a dedicated diagnostic center so we can accurately diagnose your lawn or plant problems. Do you have a plant that’s just not looking right? At Bloomers the Doctor is always in! We carry the latest organic and non-organic Houseplant, Lawn, Garden & Landscape Fertilizers, Insecticides, Fungicides and Herbicides. Everything to keep your lawn, Garden & Landscape growing it’s best.
Nursery– Perennials, trees, shrubs, stone and landscape materials. Water Gardening plants, fish & supplies. Together we can create a breathtaking landscape that you can install yourself or have Bloomers install. We offer in store instant landscape design and project consultation as small as one plant to full landscapes. Our perennial selection can’t be beat! We carry big beefy plants up to 3 gallon pots to small 4” seedlings. We carry the Deer-leerious deer resistant collections to specialty low growing collections like Stepables. We have all of the latest introductions from Monrovia, Proven Winners, Endless Summer, Trophy Takers, First Editions, Raymond Evison Clematis and more.
Seasonal Color, Garden & Greenhouse– With a name like Bloomers you can be assured we excel in this department! Vegetable, Herb & Flower Garden plants, patio pots, and hanging baskets. Proven Winner and Hybrid specialty plants abound. We carry all of the latest breeding and varieties but also have a passion for heirlooms. Our Hangly Dangly section is dedicated for all those trailing and accent plants that really make a mixed container stand out. Our large glass greenhouse also contains tropical and flowering Houseplants, Orchids, Pottery, Soils and Supplies. Every Season brings a new change and each Holiday the Greenhouse is full stocked whether it is blazing with Poinsettias at Christmas or Tulips at Easter..
Bird Sanctuary– A dedicated year round department containing Wild Bird food, houses, Feeders and Supplies. Staffed by Experts that will assist you attract the most colorful, desirable birds to your home!
Patio & BBQ– Patio furniture, Grills & BBQ. What the best dressed decks & patios are wearing. Bloomers complete BBQ Center features Weber, Traeger, Grillzone Grills and more. We have a complete selection of all the tools, supplies, rubs and spices to make you a grillmaster.
Interior Decoration– Everyday & Seasonal heirloom pieces that make your home uniquely you. We individually hand select all of our items looking for style & quality with generations of appeal. This style is ever present in our Christmas & Holiday collections. During the Christmas Season Bloomers converts to a complete Holiday decorating and trim-a-tree center. Bloomers Christmas Preview party is the event of the season with a festive atmosphere to launch the holidays with an abundance of Holiday cheer and outstanding values on decorations, trees and ornaments.
